Welsh MOT Testing to continue
While 2020’s nationwide reaction to Covid-19 saw MOT tests suspended and six-month-long extensions introduced, it seems as though the exercise will not be repeated in local and regional lockdowns.
Since the whole of Wales entered its ‘firebreak’, at 6pm on the 23rd October until Monday, 9th November, the DVSA announced that MOT Test stations can remain open. Therefore, cars without a valid test certificate can be driven on the road only if they are travelling to a pre-booked MOT appointment. However, driving and theory tests are postponed until the firebreak ends. The DVSA is also waiving any rescheduling fees.
