Take two minutes to clear your head before driving
Driving whilst using a mobile ‘phone has been illegal for a number of years because of the huge risk that it poses. Using a mobile ‘phone can include texting, checking e-mails, updating social media or even following a map. Using a hands free mobile is just as problematic as drivers aren’t concentrating on the road ahead. But there’s more to distraction than just using a ‘phone. How about that argument you had this morning that you’re still angry about? The radio blaring away your favourite tunes? In short where’s your head at? Are you replaying the argument, singing for all your worth in your own “Car-pool Karaoke” or concentrating on the pedestrian that’s crossing the road up ahead? Take a couple of minutes to think about how you drive, turn your ‘phone off and clear your head before you set off. Don’t become a statistic.
