NCAP now crash tests electric vehicles

Let the sparks fly! Or not. Euro NCAP, the crash safety assessment organisation has evaluated its first electric car for safety and it anticipates more will follow this year.

The first model to be judged is one of the oldest, the Mitsubishi i-MiEV, which appeared in Japan over eighteen months ago. Even so, the model performed strongly and scored four of a maximum five.
